Most booking apps only think about the customer. Groomers were driving 45 minutes for jobs they could do in 10. I designed both sides of the marketplace — owner app and groomer app — cutting booking time by 50%.

No fluff. Just the right things in the right order.

01 — UNDERSTAND

Talk to real people first

I start with user interviews and stakeholder sessions — not assumptions. I want to know what's broken, what's confusing, and what keeps people up at night before I open Figma.

02 — EXPLORE

Sketch fast, decide slow

Low-fi wireframes and flows first. I explore multiple directions, share early, and kill ideas that don't survive scrutiny. The best solution is rarely the first one.

03 — SHIP

Design for production, not applause

High-fidelity screens, component systems, and specs that engineers can build. I stay in the room through development — the work isn't done until it's live and measured.

The short version.

I'm Asim — a product designer based in London with a Master's in Computer Science from Anglia Ruskin (distinction, thesis on generative AI). The CS background means I think in systems, not just screens.

Over four years I've shipped products across FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, social procurement, and consumer services. The industry changes — the challenge doesn't: take something complex, make it feel obvious, ship it, measure it.

Currently I'm the product designer at MENA Capital, building their trading platform from zero. Before that: SaveInGold (gold trading), SocialPro (social procurement), Faroo (pet care marketplace), and WPBrigade (WordPress ecosystem).

I help bring London's
designers together.

As a co-partner at FAUX, I help organise monthly meetups for designers across London — finding venues, bringing people in, and keeping the energy going. Between events, I'm planning with my co-partners on how to grow the community — running side quests, experimenting with new formats, and finding ways to get more designers through the door. It's how I stay connected and give back to the people I learn from.
